Usages médicinaux

  • The whole plant is analgesic, decoagulant, depurative, febrifuge and haemostatic .
  • It promotes tissue regeneration [147, 218].
  • A decoction of the leaves, or the leaf juice, is used internally in the treatment of bladder ailments, diarrhoea, eye troubles etc whilst externally it is applied to burns, cuts etc [147, 218].
  • A decoction of the stem is bathed onto neuralgic and rheumatic parts [218].
  • A hot decoction of the seed is used in the treatment of stomach ache and diarrhoea [218].

Culture

  • Nous avons très peu d'informations sur cette espèce et ne savons pas si elle est suffisamment robuste pour l'Angleterre; d'après son origine géographique, elle devrait réussir en extérieur dans de nombreuses parties de ce pays .
  • Les notes suivantes sont basées sur les besoins généraux du genre .
  • Prefers a humus-rich, moisture retentive soil and a sunny position [200].
